Any qualified, low-income resident of the San Lorenzo Valley, Scotts Valley, or Bonny Doon may sign up to receive food and other services. Clients include those who are low-income due to under-employment as well as those who are suddenly hit with unemployment. Our clients also include the disabled and those suffering from serious medical conditions.
Any resident in our service area who has fallen on hard times may come in and sign up for help.

If you are in need of services, please come into our food pantry during regular operating hours. You will need to bring a photo ID and proof of residency.
“Proof of residency” refers to a current, dated bill or piece of mail that shows your name and address. A utility bill, bank statement, or county Notice of Action are examples of proof of residency.
What about the homeless?
We realize there is a growing population of homeless persons in Santa Cruz County, but our limited resources prevent us from accepting new clients who are homeless. We make exceptions, however, for clients and local residents who become homeless — that is, homeless persons who can prove a connection to our service area.
All other homeless are directed to the myriad services currently available in Santa Cruz County.
